Tweeter for Monitor12 Series2?

Ahoy!

I have a set of Monitor 12's Series 2, and am wondering which replacement tweeter from polk would be the best to use? I know they offer 2 different silk dome tweeter models and was hoping someone could give me some advice.

My current tweeters are the originals (2500's I believe), and they sound fine, but I have heard that the silk dome replacements are actually an upgrade in sound quality, and I want to give them a try.

I love Vintage Polks. I have loved them for a long time, and really wish Polk would re-introduce a few of the classics in some sort of Heritage line...

    Welcome to the Club Polk Forums OldPolkman! Your in good company here (a lot of old Polk men:D ) I personally don't know which silk Polk tweeter is the replacement for yours. Call Ken Swauger at Polk Customer Service 800-377-7655 for help. Good luck!

    These new tweeters are the bomb. After a substantial break in period I'm back to Rock and Roll. The replacement numbers are posted in the thread I started. Just type in Ridgerunner. Believe me you wont be disappointed with the replacements! John WELCOME!:)
