SurroundBar - A/V Receiver test list
I am about to upgrade my receiver. The issue that I have noticed is that the impedance of most of the systems I have looked at allow for 8 ohms and perhaps 6 ohms. I know there are other threads on the topic of Impedance. I know in the manual under FAQ for the SurroundBar it states that most Receivers at 8ohms will not have a problem. I then looked at a Pioneer elite receiver and went to the support site where the major problem is with speakers not capable of 8ohms and the receiver halting.
My question is : What receivers have been tested with the SurroundBar.
It would be nice to have a list of what receivers work best at either 4ohms or 8ohms.
I would hate to make a $1000 mistake.
Thank you.

The surroundbar is rated at 8 Ohms nominal. You should not have any problems with any receiver.
BTW - I use one with a Denon, which is NOT low impedance friendly AT ALL. No problems... -
Also remember not to stack anything on top of the receiver blocking its heat vents, or heat will cause it to shut down regardless of what speaker is used.
