Some of you know that this Big Band is THE bomb when it comes to Brass-erie...this is even better: it comes with both CD AND DVD Dolby Digital 5.1 for a merely $12.99 from Amazon.

Check out Dianne Reeves "Too Close To Comfort", great album and arrangement!

no affil., I am just so jazz-up with every Goodwin's Album.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

This band sounds very interesting. Can anyone give a review of the
DD 5:1 mix? Does it use the rear channels aggressively?

Yes, Mike. They utilized surround channels effectively. Assuming that you have calibrated your SPL level for all channels, I'll give you the assurance that you will notice a distinct difference Whether you will like it or not, I can't say, but if you like to hear arrangements in which the horn section is very active, this the album to cherish.
