Splitting a pr. of SDA-CRS for center channel

Anyone interested in splitting a pair of these for use as a center channel? I am debating this and just have too small of a listening area to justify large SRS's and large DT towers, so I am looking to commit to Polk for all duties. My room is already an interior designers nightmare....
Not sure what a good price for a pair would be. I believe these have been mentioned as a good match for the SRS's. Can they be upgraded easily to the RDO tweet used in the SRS's?
And, are any of the Polk in wall centers a good choice to match with the SRS's?

I don't know about the in-walls but the LSiC is a perfect match to the SDA-SRS w/upgraded tweeters. The LSi7's are nice as surrounds also. They sound as if they were a direct match.
madmaxVinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
The CSi40 is also a great match. 2 - 6" woofers and a silk dome tweeter. I'm using one with my SRS 2.3's. I think there is a CSi40 for sale on the Flea. You may have to go back a few weeks to find the ad.Carl

IMHO, I wouldn't split those up. F#ck that...

Yes, I'm sure Russman will agree. Just exploring options. More likely to go with something smaller and prettier...It isn't like they wouldn't be getting used and one getting tossed in the trash, although the idea of not using all the drivers seems silly and I don't see myself doing any DK rewiring inside.
My concern is a good match but even greater is something that won't get lost with two huge mains. I'd prefer not to use two centers to acheive this. The CSi40, with the larger mids seems to be a good call, but I agree with DK's thought in previous posts that it isn't the best looking speaker in comparison with the LSi. It is cheaper....UNIVERA

You won't if you calibrate properly

the sda crossover will prohibit a proper exchange of sound as a center??

I was thinking about doing this but the crossover would have to be changed.
I did some research and found that if you change the crossover from the crs to a monitor 10 series crossover it can be done.
Do you have a pair of crs to do this?SRT For Life; SDA Forever!
The SRT SEISMIC System:
Four main satellite speakers, six powered subs, two dedicated for LFE channel, two center speakers for over/under screen placement and three Control Centers. Amaze your friends, terrorize your neighbors, seize the audio bragging rights for your state. Go ahead, buy it; you only go around once. -
I run a pair SDA SRS for my fronts and 2.3s in the rear. I would be interested in trying to work out something to run a CRS in the center. I currently run a pair of CS40i s in the center but I've always thought it would be cool to have a vintage center too. Let me know if you are still interested in this.

I currently run a CRS+ as a center matched with SDA-2B as my fronts and I think it sound great.
and Russ was not happy with me either...;)***WAREMTAE***
