Volume level increase after a year +?

I am curious did anyone sub's volume level increase over time, from the initial SPL setup? The increase is significant (from 11 to 20) on a max of 30 scale (Velo DD-15), so I am curious. I thought something is wrong with the sub, but everything else is fine, so it's a bit disconcerting on the "why and how" part. TIA.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

It's a little known fact that Velo subs have little gnomes that live inside each and every sub they sell.. they must have gotten dead **** drunk and forgot they raised the volume level.

Did you change the cross-over in your receiver or subwoofer?Win7 Media Center -> Onkyo TXSR702 -> Polk Rti70

no, which is a good point, though. I had tinkering with both cross-overs setting, from the pre/pro and the sub itself. Right now, I let the pre/pro set at 80 and turned off the sub setting.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

maybe someone unknowingly to you has upped the volume on the sub??

the new (higher) volume level was the result of recalibrating the sub level, since I upgraded the firmware to version 2.2.0 which wiped out the old settings.
Actually, this time around, the result is better, the sub blends a lot better with the front speaks.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.
