Sorry for the image quality (taken with the phone). I don't have the subs in
yet because I still haven't figured out where I am mounting them. Space is at
a premium so it takes some careful planning.. :)

The head unit is mounted in 1/4" Smoked Lexan with the back of the Lexan
painted black. I couldn't find a "marine" mount that would work with this head
unit because of the dual face when it's open it would hit the marine enclosures.

The amp is mounted right under the port side dash and wired with Mobile Spec
4 Awg Pos and Neg runs back to the #2 Battery (1100CCA Nothern Marine
Deep Cycle) and is fused with a Mobile Spec digital readout ANL fuse block.

The RCA's are RadioShack gold series (figured it best to use something gold
plated to resist corrosion) and I have never had any complaints with thier patch
cables I've used them a gazillion times.. I am not into esoteric cable mojo, I
usually just build all my own cables from scratch but I'm getting lazy :)

The Momo's are mounted in factory locations in the Kick Pannels and beside
the bench seat in the rear of the boat.

The subs.... Like I said, I have no clue where to put them.. I planned on
having the dual 10 Momo's under the bench seat like most other 230SX
owners have done, but the Polk 10's won't fit there... 8's would fit but I
really don't want to step down to 8 inchers..

That looks very nice! I'm sure it really stinks not being able to reach the HU from the driver's seat, though. On second thought, however, I guess most listening would be done while you're just floating around.

Figure out where to put those subs and you'll be kicking! You're using Kicker for amps, right?

    Bliss,

Don't have to reach the radio.. I have a remote :) Besides I don't like to touch
the buttons on the HU they are metalized and I don't want to wear the finish
    off :)

Yep the Kicker 700.5 will drive the entire system. I don't have room for
multiple seperate amps and I won't be entering any DB drags, I figure the
700.5 will supply enough juice for the whole setup.

It does a good job and it's well made. I haven't looked at the spec sheet for
it but the dampening factor must be decent. The Momo's have very good cone
control on this amp.. Very punchy without overworking the drivers at all.

Cody it's the 9600MP and no I don't have a cover for it.. It won't fit behind
any of the "marine" enclosures because of the motorized double face. But it's
not an issue since my boat is garage kept and when I am on the water it's
well under the windsheild (and if it were raining I would have my Bimini top with
isenglass on.... It doesn't get wet :)

Makes sense. Excellent install. I hate working on boats because they always come in to our shop when its 100* and we cant pull em in our bay b/c theyre too big...well, some arent, but a lot are.

yup, we did several this summer. We also do alarms, remote starts, keyless entry, install power door locks, power windows, cruise controls amongst other things. A lot of things you might not think about when you think of a stereo shop. Next time you lose a factory remote, dont go to a dealership to get a new one, go to your local stereo shop and get an aftermarket one installed for $100 that comes with 2 remotes and still be able to use your remaining factory remote. We get people that do that all the time because the dealerships want $180 for the remote and another $100 to program it...rediculous.
