Well i just took a jump and got some decent speakers! I was useing these for the last 2 years http://creative.com/products/product.asp?category=4&subcategory=25&product=9137
But i got some money together and bought 2 pairs of r15's, a csi25, a pioneer vsx-516, and a Yamaha sub. Not the best but sounds amazingly better.
I have them around my desk so there all about 3 feet away. This is shrinking the sound stage a little but the quality increase from my old speakers makes up for it many times over.

Later on i plan to get some much better L/R's and use the r15's for the surround and back surround.
They are hooked up to my computer via a coax line from my auzentech X-plosion http://www.auzentech.com/products_xplosion.html And i also have my xbox 360 plugged in with a toslink.

Any one have any tips or ideas? (pics will be coming later)

nice, you basically did the same step that i did last year, i went from a logitech 5.1 to a pair of m10's and same pioneer reciever, i dont have a center but that will soon change, and a mtx boombox(my only mistake). if you wait for a while frys has thesehttp://shop2.outpost.com/product/4005092?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG on sale now and they have them on sale just about once a month. good luck with the setup, oh and is this just a computer setup or is this an ht?
