European finals in Bern/Switzerland

I would like to inform that it will be one car that will compete a full Polk setup from Sweden.

Front speakers are SR5250 and MM2084.
In the trunk are a single 12inch woofer MM2124
The amplifiers are two C400.4 there is no passive crossover in this system.
The headunit is Pioneer/Premier DEX-P90 with DEQ-P90 processor and of couse a couple of high end interconnects from Chord Chompany in the UK.

The car is going to compete in the Expert Sound Only class.
So if anyone is going to visit this event so look as up, the car is a silver Saab 9000CSE with alot of Polk logos on the car. It will be hard to miss;)

    Hey, been a while since we've heard anything from you; how's it going?? Sounds like you've definitely got a nice setup there.

    For some reason I was thinking you had a Golf; was that you, or am I just all confused?

    Ill be heading into Tennessee State Finals Oct 29th and then World Finals Nov 11-12th using all Polk speakers.

    Maybe we can bring 2 SQ World Championships home for the Polk trophy case!

    Yepp, you are confused! ;)
    It will be a really fun adventure and i`m the only judge det will participate on the judgeteam (Sound) from Sweden.

    Wow, that looks like a quality install! I like the way you have your mids and tweeters installed! However, I'm not sure how the mids would sound like that. I suppose it sounds good if it's in a competition car, eh?

    Do people who compete in SQ competitions "vent" their subs into the cab when they have closed trunks like that?

    Usually, no.

    For SQ youre really not wanting loud bass or much at all actually. You usually dont need anything above 40 Hz coming from the sub. Much more than that and it localizes the sub more and more.

    Yes it is a competioncar and playing in the category Expert Sound Only witch means full installation without bonuspoints and of course sound. Maximum point on installation is 175 points and for sound 326 points.

    Here is a directreport after comming home from Switzerland just a couple of hours ago.
    Everything vent well just came in 2:nd place of 18 starting cars ( The best Europe has ). Here are a couple of pictures to enjoy.

    It was 255 participants from 28 nations and around 40.000 visitors. It was the biggest competitions in the world and judges from 19 nations.

    As the Swede said he competed in Expert Sound Only, their is no pricelimit in their class, their was cars with equipment for more den 30.000Euro, we had for around 3700Euro.
    Many cars did have the new Alpine F1 and the new Pioneer/Premier ODR and Genesis and many other brands.

    We're pretty close to that tho in some shows over here. We had 200 at Carl Casper Nationals back in February which was a MECA only show! Spring Break Nationals and Steel Valley Regionals usually have over 200 as well but theyre usually MECA, IASCA, USACi and DB Drag combined. IASCA finals this year had almost 200 I think as well.

    Looks like car audio competion may be on the rise again.
