?? What are my Monitor 5Bs worth?

Seriously. I don't find any on ebay.

I have a perfect, lovingly cared for pair of 5Bs that have been in service for me as their original owner for probably 15 years. They're sitting unused right now. I might consider selling them, might not. Mostly I'm curious about what they might be worth. Supposedly these have the "legendary" tweeters. They're very nice speakers, but they don't really hold a candle to my RTi10s, and I have nothing to match them, timbre wise.

Just some rough idea of a price scale would be helpful.

I asked the same question of my Monitor 7Cs - purchased new by me in 1990, always babied, all minty and everything. I was told maybe $100-125, which matched the one pair that was on E-bay at the time.

I was in the SAME position you are... wasn't using them, thought of selling them to someone who'd appreciate them.. but man, a hundred bucks??

I'm not going to ship mine... so I figure around $125 local is the best I could hope for.

Thanks for the reply. I agree, for $100 or so it is not worth parting with them.

And of course, now that I have enough posts to put a classified in the for sale section, I have nothing to sell!
