Amp running hot

Hey guys whats up,
I have a boss blade blx4000 pushing two kicker cvr12's. The amp is running hot and shuts down after about 30 minutes. The people at circuit city set it up running at 1 ohm and im not sure if it should be? What should I do to help fix this problem? The people at circuit city also said that I would need dual 4 ohm voice coil subs in order to be compatible with my amp? Please help, thank you.

Hi Ralph - welcome to the forums. You may have better luck trying the car audio part of the forum (as I assume you are refering to car stuff).

Sorry I can't help you anymore than that.

when u say shut down do u mean fried the amp if so then i hope u have a warranty ! i had a boss amp also the riot series and that amp got steaming hot but to my surprise never quit so my guess is its the wiring check the boss audio site to see the specs on what it can and cannot handle hope this helps.
