Very nice looking HU! That second pic's a great pic, too! I think I might have to save that one.

Looks like a very clean, undersated install, too. Congrats!

Lookin good.....Are the amp and crossovers mounted directly to the backing of the seat or is there a buildup you carpeted?

My only concern with putting stuff there is if I ever have to put the seat down I don't want whatever's going through to be rubbin up on my equipment.....but that's just me.

very good point, but i have it that way in my g/f's car and she never has to put anything that big in her car, especially since i have a truck so i dont have to worry about it.

I saw one of the cleanest setups ive ever seen in a car yesterday. A mustang from a dealership came in because the stock h/u wasnt working. Whoever had it before had an old punch amp and sub in the trunk. It was a rag top so the amp was mounted underneathe where it came down so it was totally hidden. The sub was glassed into the trunk on one of the sides with the sub facing the outside of the car and it was carpeted. You would have NEVER thought there was a sub in there unless you were very familiar with a mustang's trunk. We never got to hear it because they asked us to take everything out, Im very curious to how it would have sounded pointed directly at the outside of the car. Im thinking about doing that in my g/f's car, but I was thinking maybe it would sound better downfiring??? I really dont know...but very intriguing idea. Up to then, I was just planning on glassing it to the side with the sub facing toward the trunk, I know how that will sound, but it will also be vulnerable to all the high heels and other **** that she keeps in her trunk. This way it will be completely free of any foreign objects and not look like theres even a sub in there...

I actually plan to move the amp pictured and the 2100 under the front seats. The amp is screwed down onto the back of the seat. I used some large bolts under each corner. This served two pursposes, it gave me room to sknake the cables under the amp, and the screws did not go very far into the back of the seat. The crossovers will go under the dash. Going for a stealth type of install instead. I will be adding an 8" sub in the factory location in the rear deck. For the meanwhile I will use my 12" Arc sub.

    Thanks!

I just finished installing my amps under the front seats. I put in the 4150 under the driver's seat and the 2100 under the passenger's seat. The crossovers are behind the finishing material in the trunk. The sub is bolted down right behind the rear seat area. The only thing that says I have a system is the sub in the trunk, nothing else is visible. Once I get an infinite baffle 8" sub in the stock location, it will be pretty stealthy :D. This will give me full use of the trunk area. The only thing that will not look OEM is the HU and kit that the HU goes into.

    Thanks!

It is a tight squeeze, I was very happy to be able to get it to fit under there :).

The only thing left to do is to add some sound deadener to the rear doors, the rear deck and a small amount in the trunk. The rear doors I will only do the inner skin on (I covered both the inner and outer skin on the front door). The rear deck I will do like a sandwhich, top and bottom. The trunk I only have the very bottom of the spare tire well, and the area behind and to the top of the subwoofer in the picture. I will probably get another 20-30 square feet of the Damplifier from Secondskin. I have used about 70 square feet so far for the trunk and front doors.
