Opinions sought: Opera-consonance valve monoblocs for my 1.2 TL's

Gday polksters,

I've been looking at upgrading my 2ch power/pre for my 1.2 TL's for a while, and have come across some opera consonance valve gear...

Im looking at the cyber 222 valve preamp: http://www.opera-consonance.com/products/cyber222.htm

and a pair of cyber 800 monoblocks:

I'm a newbie when it comes to valve gear and being in australia its rare to see quality valve gear for sale locally. Im just wondering what ppls opinions might be, ie will it have enough power for the 1.2's whether there might be issues around the common-ground requirements?

Any advice will be appreciated, as would want to ensure they would fit the bill before demoing them

    I don't know anything about those pieces, but 78 wpc of tube power will work as long as you don't want concert levels. You will have to use the AI-1 cable or find out if you strap the negative outputs together.

    From everything I've read and heard about Consonance gear, you should be pleased. Supposed to be real nice stuff.

    Tubes work well with the big boy SDA's at reasonable volumes. As was said above, check out the common ground issue.

    Cheers for the replies Gents, I've talked to the importer here and the owner without any luck re: the common grounding ...

    Have now emailed consonance directly, hopefully they get back to me with some good news :)

    Read abit more about them, cant believe how heavy the monoblocs are... coming in at aroudn 30kgs each I might have to look at a more sturday rack/wall unit if I get them :D
