    Ive seen this special before as a volunteer firefighter and living so close to NYC it really hits home and shows that we should never forget!

    I hadn't ever seen that special with the documentary about a Probationary Firefighter being followed that turned into documenting the on-site happenings/experiences of people at the WTC buildings.....

    I felt it was worth the watch.......not really interested if others don't........

    Its the only footage from inside the towers. I think it was well editied and showed alot of what other documentries tried to recreate but couldn't. It really gave you a feeling of what is was like to be inside the tower when they collapsed.

    that's the second time i've seen it. It originally aired in 2002... i'm glad CBS choose to replay it. It's so good.. because it's a documentary.. and not a made for TV movie.

    *Side note. I wonder how CBS got around the F-bombs that were dropped in the doc?

    All the garbage that the news stations are putting on today is just exploitive nonsense. I love how everyone gets up in arms about films like United 93 because they exploit a tragedy, but CBS or ABC or Fox spend an ENTIRE DAY putting sad music to 9/11 footage and we all eat it up. They're using a tragedy and emotion to get ratings, plain and simple.

    If you really still care, go out and donate time or money, don't sit and watch TV about it.

    I totally agree, I am just tired of the exploitation of this event, do we even hear about the Oklahoma bombing anymore. I can't stand the bickering of the surviving family members and the lawsuit because they don't like the design of this or the look of this, like him or hate him Nagan was right 5 years later and we still have a whole in the ground, rediculous. I have had just about enough of these never forget movies, shows, concerts and such. I say move on already, it was a tragedy but their are young kids dying every day and if you hear a blib on their young life being snuffed away it's alot.

    not to be inflamatory, but I dont think some specials on 9/11 are too innapropriate. this is an event that needs to be rememberred for a whole lot of reasons. no one wants to hear it, but there are people out there that want to do it to us again. it sucks, but its true.

    Well, I certainly didn't mean, like CRj seemed to think, that we should forget about this and ignore the event. Just that the news stations are all just trying to make a buck out of this, and I find it sickening. They're using epople's pain and emotions to get ratings. Sad images and haunting music do not make you sympathetic. It's the very definition of exploitation for ratings. Much like all news, at this point, really.

    I dunno, I'm not good with words, I can't express what I'm trying to say very well here.

    I dont think thats what CRj meant persay, well, maybe a little. believe me, he's spot on about the Families bickering about the memorial. what is or isnt good enough, I so feel for there loss, but it's just nuts. thats the reason there is nothing built there yet (including a memorial).

    I hear ya bobman.. but on the same hand it does need to be viewed and remembered, and sometimes we have to watch for the content and not how it got to us, the money grubbing news...

    ya can't just forget, and if it were my family and friends personally lost.. Id want people to remember atleast once a year 9/11

    The documentary that I was talking about wasn't just some mash of random news clips of what happened that morning.........it was different......there was no 'news' angle on that video and was a first hand account in every way from people that were there on site. There's no other 'report' like it in existence, and had I known that it was something that could have been purchased, I would have done so......

    I saw it in 2002, and elected to watch it again last night rather than the other thing on ABC. Outstanding presentation, that I had a hard time believing was commercial-free last night.

    Most of our citizens are entertained by stuff like the exploiters shove out. It sure beats actually GETTING OFF THEIR ASSES AND DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Other than buying a couple magnetic ribbons to stick on the **** end of the car of course. Such sacrifice.

    Why is this topic even causing a debate? So many people lost their lives on 9/11/01 and today is the 5th anniversary. just take a moment and reflect on it for a moment.
