Windows Media Player

My Media Player all of a sudden has no sound. I rebooted the computer; I even downloaded the most recent version (11 Beta) and it still doesn't work. Real Player works just fine, but I prefer to use WMP.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks.

Do you have it muted? The fifth button over from the bottom left, or the button just over the right from the volume.

I'm having a similar problem. My girlfriend won't shut the **** up. Is there a mute button for her? I tried the 5th button from the left but apparently I'm only allowed to touch there after I buy her something expensive. Suggestions?

I checked the Microsoft Knowledge Base and it says to dump the GF, then take the money and find a hooker for a nice BJ.

This is a well known problem amongst many users. No fix has been discovered yet. Sometimes upgrading to a newer model stops the yacking in the short term, but eventually all models get to the point where they never STFU. Deal with it or don't use said services.
