Awesome movie! I watched the movie first, then watched the family stuff in the extra features section and that made me watch the movie again. I agree that everyone should see it.

It was actually on TV already here on A&E in Canada. I watched it the other night. Very, very sad. Just a total waste. I have always really hated all the nationalism and political BS. It just shouldn't be like that, but unfortunately it always has been. It's just a destructive world in which we live in.

Not the same movie. The one you saw has been out awhile...made for tv stuff. The one being discussed here was a theatrical release.

I heard an interview with the wife of the plane's captain. She's been privy to far more info than you, me, or the vast majority of U.S. Citizens. When the interviewer asked her to quantify the accuracy of the film vs. what she knew to be fact, her answer was a very difinitive "95% accurate." This woman has heard the audio tapes from the flght recorders and seen just about every report ever printed. I'll take her word for it and see the film. Her comments are echoed by other family and friends that also lost loved ones on Flight #93.

Yes there are going to be some inaccuracies in the film, but not so many that it's been turned into Hollywood fluff.

I'd suggest watching the film first before commenting further, that's how I'm going to approach it.

I sincerely appreciate the information, but I still don't agree with the movie and will not buy it nor see it.

At first I was unsure if this was a good idea or not.

Part of me thought it was typical hollywood cashing in on tragedy but another part thought this is something we need to see so we remember what we're fighting for and what we're up against.

I think now Ive come down on the side of everybody needs to see this. It seems as if way too many people are forgetting exactly what happened on 9/11.

The economy is roaring along, gas prices are coming down, football season is started....hell there is hardly any evidence we're even at war! I think its eassy for people to forget and I think seeing this film or video of 9/11 is good to wake us back up.

Burying our collective (or individual) head in the sand won't make what happened go away. It won't prevent another occurance of the same type of terrorist action against us...in our own back yard. Imagine what would have happened had the Greatest Generation not stepped up to the plate the way they did. Do you think people turned a blind eye to Pearl Harbor after 5 short years.....not likely.

I don't think that an individual is obligated to see this movie just because it is "based" on actual events, or am I wrong? Since when does someone have their collective heads in the sand because they make this choice?

I obviously know what happened, and what is currently going on and I simply choose to not watch yet another semi-factual program on this subject.

I served my country with distinction, if I need further validation of what a hero is, I'll look at a picture of my father.

No, your not obligated to see it, but perhaps not judging the film until you have seen it makes more sense than just stating that you aren't going to see it cuz it's

Semi-Factual? You really should do a bit of research on the making of the film before making that comment.

No one said anything about heros or any validation there of, but if this film shows that there were some that performed selfless acts to prevent even more deaths...then so be it. Those that acted heroically should be recoginized for their actions.

No one is obligated to see the film, but an open mind toward the intent of the film wouldn't hurt.

I will not comment any further on this subject. I hope that you folks enjoy the movie as I'm sure the intent is meant to be positive and inspiring.

The reviews for this movie give me the feeling that this is not just a "get rich off the misfortunes of others" venture.
I'll wait to watch it on DVD because I'd like to watch/listen to it intently without interruptions from cellphones, etc.

BTW, there are those who believe that United 93 was shot down.

I understand where Doro is coming from. I tried giving the DVD to my Dad, and he refuses to watch it. Basically he's said the same things Doro has, which is that he knows what happened and doesn't need to be reminded through a film. I can respect the point of view, and regardless of it I still think every American citizen should try and see it. Doesn't make them wrong for not doing it, IMO.

For me it elevated a few emotions I already had in regards to what happened. Made me reflect a little bit, and so on.

Anyone not seeing it because they think it's typical Hollywood -- that is where I would disagree. It was very well done, respectful, and honest. Quite a few people that lived through that day played themselves in the movie. The guy who was running the FAA in the movie is the real deal. The actors were kept seperated before shooting so that more realism was displayed.

There's no conspiracy talk or agenda in this movie, which is refreshing considering the man who made the movie is politically on the other side of the isle from me. Should make my endorsement a little more sound. Also should reaffirm that in fighting this war THAT shouldn't matter either, but now it does....

Excellent movie.

If you don't want to see it that's your choice. I'm glad i rented it. It's very powerful to watch. It's good because allthough we all lived this event in history 5 yrs ago. We only heard about what took place on flight 93. This movie goes into further detail on how it played out.

Rent the movie if you can. I planned to watch it just before this year's 9/11 anniversary. I'm glad I watched it.

I saw this movie last week and didn't post about it because I just didn't like the movie. I do feel that this is a STORY that everyone should know about, but a movie everyone should watch, I just don't think so. the way it was filmed and put together made it very difficult for me to keep intrested, and I tried watching it 3 times and never finshed it. Don't get the wrong idea about me I feel what those people did on that plane was one of the bravest things I ever heard or read about and that those people where heroes and should be remembered, but United 93 FOR ME just didn't do justice to what those people did.

One thing I thought was cool is the number of actual people who played themselves. I don't know the percentage but it is a common theme looking over the credits. I have to think that with so many people involved it is fairly true to life. I found it quite interesting to see the flight tower people in action. So thats what they do. They could have dressed everything up and made it more entertaining but I wouldn't have had much interest in watching it then.

Watched this last night, kind of hard to sit through because I kept bouncing back and forth between anger and sadness, but it was interesting to see what was going on behind the scenes at the flight towers.

Being in the airlines I plan to watch this movie someday. It's very hard emotionally to watch movies from this tragedy, but especially the ones dealing with the aircraft. You know what pisses me off is the poor job our country has done with airport/aircraft security after 9/11. Security is still a joke at our airports IMO.
