Nothing to Say

Looks like I quietly, without fanfare, passed the 3,000 post mark. Not bad for a Polk Forum entry date of September 99. I'd bet dollars to donuts 2,750 of them have nothing to do with Polk Audio. I do however try and avoid posting really meaningful stuff like "Go for it" and "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

I'm too tired to count. I ripped down my existing stockade fence today in preparation for the new cedar job that's going in tomorrow. Then I mowed and weed wacked. My tight, really cute **** is dragging.

    Thank you Your Assholiness.

In keeping with the spirit of this thread, I think His Assholiness was a member here before I was, and obviously, with only about 2,000 posts, has even less to say than I do (as you have just witnessed).

Antny, while I was doing my own yardwork, I sold both pair of Bozaks. You snooze you lose.

No point.....just thinking out loud... that although you don't post on every thread, the spit and vinegar you possess in your self proclaimed "tight, really cute ****" in most of your observations are enjoyed and appreciated.

You know how to put smart/dumbasses in place with the best here on CP.

...more importantly, does George Grand need to be stained every 3 years ?

....and no, I don't know what that means, but .... maybe if I had had a little heads up on the 3k mark, I could have posted something more appropriate like, "Keep on posting !", or something better.

Only if you don't want it to turn grey. I had an old cedar shake house I'd do every 5 - 6 years.

    George,

What's left to say after Sensai?

BTW, the albums were waiting for me yesterday, yes, to say the least interesting cover on the LA Express, I could not only smell it, I could taste it, buried treasure there, so close yet so far, music was rather Grand (yes, pun) to say the least. Not to even mention the Crosswinds, awesome stuff.

    help yourself to another 30,000.

John, I have some locks of Jesse's hair, a wicken friend says they really pack a punch.

The Tide is IN as far as I'm concerned. Thanks.

    Ted,

I'm glad those two did not disappoint. Like I said, I've had those two in my stack for over thirty years. Both well kept secrets. I have that Express on cd, but it's so small compared to that big album cover. That was their debut album. Immediately followed by Tom Cat which is also fantastic. It featured Robben Ford instead of Larry Carlton on guitar, and Joe Sample took a hike and was replaced by a guy named Larry Nash. Tom Scott and the incomparable Max Bennet on bass/Johnny Guerin on drums stayed. Worth owning. YES GIRLS, guys like Carlton and Sample were around in the late 60's/early 70's. They were young, hungry, and fortunately not capable of performing the smooth jazz dreck that they would produce in later years.

That was Cobham's second album as a writer/bandleader. The first was Spectrum. Try it, as well as his third album Total Eclipse. Total Eclipse is probably my favorite. Never heard anything like it before or after. Again, totally devoid of any smooth jazz shite.

Willow, I'm feeling pretty charitable. Have a nice night.

That's cool. I'm actually speaker heavy right now, and don't have the means to do 'em justice. It'd be a shame to hoard, at least some one is gonna get enjoyment out of them.

heh. i go back a bit over 20, to time served in the military. there's just no real world equivalent to high level military communication skills. people skilled in this art rarely practice it in the presence of civilians. so, y'all that haven't lived it are lucky to get a little taste from a master, not just some actor repeating his lines in front of a camera.

anyway, thanks george for the times you reminded me it was time to burn up some minutes and keep current with a couple of folks i was in with.
