edited September 2006 in Vintage Speakers
Hello everyone, new to the forums and since my home theater speaker system is comprised of Polk oldies but goodies, this seems like a great place to hang out and get started in the vintage speaker section. I am running LS90's for mains, a CS350 for center, and a pair of M5's for surrounds along with a Definitive Technology Powerfield 12 and a Yamaha SW-150 for subs. My weakest link is only using a Yamaha reciever for power which will be my next move for improvments. Although the Polk's have a little age on them they still sound awesome and have not found a reason to move them out. I will definitley be asking for some advice here when I am ready to do an upgrade and start looking at power amps. Thanks for reading and hope to be a contibuting member here at Club Polk.

Mike

welcome to the Club Polk Forum Mike! You've got some real nice Polks. They may be a little "long in the tooth" but those LS models sound great.

Very nice HT setup! The snack counter is fabulous. It really adds to the atmosphere. We're glad to have you aboard. Join in on the fun! Lots of good people here!

Very nice setup. I'm in the same boat running LS90's. I just can't find any reason to upgrade. I would strongly encourage the power upgrade for your 90's though. The really open up with good clean power.

    Welcome and welcome again...

Pull up a chair and make yourself at home:)
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

By the way, Forum rules state that all new members must invite current members to their home so their snack bar can be "inspected" for quality and assurance purposes. Only after we have tested everything and are satisfied can you return to the forum and be allowed to post.

Milk Duds, Bon Bons and fresh hot buttered popcorn will help you score higher. :D

Everyone is invited over Oct. 28th as every year the Sunday before Halloween we host an all day/evening horror-thon and make nachos, hotdogs, and of course plenty of popcorn.;) ;) We always finish the evening showing Halloween as the last movie of the day.:D

Welcome aboard Mike . . . I've only been around for about 1 1/2 months. . . this is a tremendous insane asylum where the inmates run the asylum!!! Since joining I've become an even more rabid, drooling, obsessed audio/Polkaphile. Keep reading, you won't believe the wealth of knowledge and experience you find on this site. Since I've been a memeber I've learned and relearned and this is a great place to be for wit . . . some of these guys are real characters and have great senses of humors. I love when they start cutting each other up.

These guys are always ready and willing to help out!

    Keep reading and posting,
    Joe
