Sharapova....

I was flipping through the channels the other day and I ran across a tennis match with Maria Sharapova playing some other girl. But then when they displayed the score, Sharapova's name wasn't on there! What happened? Has she gotten married or something?

Dagnabit, I knew she wouldn't wait on me like she said she would...

Definitely not married, are you sure you weren't confused / it wasn't a girl that happened to look like Sharapova? I've watched most of her matches at the Open this year and her name's definitely been tehre, so I suspect something else was up.

And no she's not married. She's only 19, not that that's ever stopped anyone from getting married, but... She has been rumored to be dating Andy Roddick though.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

There is zero doubt in my mind that this was Sharapova; I'd know that face (and body :D) anywhere. I wish I could remember the name they had displayed for her, though...

Hmm, she's dating Andy Roddick....I suppose I should pick up tennis now, start entering tournaments, and beat everybody....then maybe I'd get her attention...just want my timing to be right....;) :p

Pretty good finals match tonight. However I am now officially rooting AGAINST Sharapova from now on. Ive never sat thru an entire match of hers until now and have discovered that she is severly annoying to watch!

That hoot she lets out with each swing is possibly the most irritating sound since Dumb and Dumber. And everytime she wins a point she bends over with a clench fist like she's constipated and yells "C'MON!".

I started out rooting for her but by the second set I was pulling for Hennin.

Really looking forward to the Mens finals tomorrow. Heres to hoping Roddick can beat Federer. I kinda doubt it because (and dont tell aaharvel I said this but) he looks to be unbeatable. He has played flawlessly so far this year and doesnt look to be letting up anytime soon. Definitely deserves his #1 ranking.

i just want to see a good match tomorrow. at least a 4-setter.

I'm not pulling for either, I like them both. If I didn't have the patriotic bug biting me/if it wasn't the US Open, I'd pull for Federer in a heartbeat.

I'm pulling for Roddick mostly because I like to pull for the underdog when I don't hav ea vested interest in something. Roddick is definitely the underdog. Throw in the fact that, like Andrew sad, he's an American in the US Open, well... go Andy!

Maria's grunting is a little annoying, but I would hope the very sight of her would make up for it. Yowza. The funny thing is, in the first few games of hte match, she wasn't making any noise at all. She CAN turn it off, she just chooses not to. Very odd.

I think it's funny how meticulous she is about some things. She has the exact same ritual between every point. Pick all the f uzz out from between her strings, get htem lined up. Then, if she's serving, she bounces the ball in front of her twice. Always funny to watch.

I have to agree, while Roddick looks a hundred times better than he has in the past now that he has Jimmy Connors as his coach. It will haapen eventually if Roddick keeps improving, but probably not at this years open. It's going to be a hell of a final and I'm going to be torn wether or not to watch football or the open.

Last night womens final was great even though it was straight sets. Sharapova deserves it, she's worked hard the last couple years and seem to be peaking right now. Hennin-Hardiene is one hell of a counter puncher as this was one of the more enjoybale womens finals in tha past 10 years or so.

I really wished they would have shown the mixed double final with Martina playing her last match. Hard to believe she will be 50 years old in a few weeks. A true definition of the word Legend if I ever saw one.

I dont think she's that hot. She's like 7 feet tall! And has broader shoulders than Schwarzenegger! She's got a very pretty face but the rest of her is just a little too manly.

I much prefer Martina Hingis or Anna Kournikova.

Not HOT???? IMO every inch of this 6", Blonde haired, blue eyed, broad shouldered, long legged tennis goddess is HOT.

And in my dreams she can scream, moan, grunt, shreik or make any other noise all she wants (actually encouraged ;) )

Where did I say she wasnt hot? Yeah shes a good looking broad and I suppose she is smoking for a tennis player. But when you compare her to HOT chicks like Eva Longoria, Angelina Jolee, Jennifer Aniston, Kate Beckinsale, Anna Kournikova, Brooke Burke or Kelly Monaco, Sharapova isnt even in the same league.

    Federer is just disgusting.

As for Maria... hey, there's no accounting for taste. I'm not that tall, so 6' would be too tall for me in the real world, but for someone I'll never have a chance at, she could be 9' tall, if she's hot she's hot :D I think she's got Longoria at the very least beat, that girl is just all makeup and hype. The rest of Mac's list is pretty untouchable though...

    Nice pics, shack.
