Velodyne sms1

I have the Velodyne sms1 for about a month now, it has helped the bass in my ht alot, I just did the auto eq so far. Does the preset fuction 1-6 work if you just use auto set up? When I turn on the Velodyne it goes to preset 4, volume 10. I like the volume on about 15, but was wondering if it matters which preset you have it on when using the auto set-up. thanks

    By the auto set up do you mean the Self EQ?...in the 321 screen? Either way they SMS settings 1-6 will give you different results. I like either setting 4 or 2. Listen to both and see which you like best. If you did mean the Self Eq (where the SMS just calibrates the sub only) then you are really missing out by not going into the manual EQ (12345 menu) and fine tuning the curve. It makes a big diiference and integrates it with your speakers.

    Thanks, I meant the self eq. I guess I need to go through the manual eq then, Ill need to hook-up the eq to a input on my pre-pro L&R. The self eq took out alot of boom! thanks again
