DIY HT computer

I have been building a computer on paper for the past few weeks. Outside of parts availability, I am pretty resoved in the core and mother board but would appreciate opinions. E6600 core on and Asus Delux mobo. I found the Silver line 20 series HT cases to possess the "WOW Factor" with the flexibility that I "THINK" I am looking for. I'll launch it with a minimum of 750 watt PS but I could be nudged to 1k of power so any suggestions are also welcomed. I would like this machine to grow into gaming but DVD, CD including all variants of play and recording are needed. I most definetly want to seemlessly record and play with this computer at the highest level of fidelity possible.
SO, with the 6600 core and the Asus please let me know your thoughts.

Okay, sounds like a nice project !
Have to do a little research, but one thing you want to go with is liquid cooling of your CPU. Good "Wow, that's cool" factor, and it'll keep the noise level to a minimum.
...going to have to do a little research here.
Newegg is my supplier of choice, btw; real good, if not great, prices and great customer service.Sal Palooza -
