SPF to Andy. Thanks!

Folks,

I've had this up here for awhile, but I'm gonna put up again with a new title to see what happens.

I have a Carver M1.0-t amp that's rated at 200w/ch (1k mono bridged) and runs cool for those looking to tuck this away in a tight HT center. It'll do 400W per @ 4ohms and is 2ohm stable I do believe. 2-ohm loads would probably make it warm up some though. :D

Original thread w/ pics and more info!

In my orignal posting, I mentioned that it had been serviced. The 90 days of the shop's warranty has since expired, however if something happens to this thing in the first month from the delivery date, send it back to me and I'll either get it fixed again or refund your $250. I won't refund shipping. Sorry folks.

Wes

Wow, beats my why you haven't had any bites at all. Just curious, what's the output at 4ohms? Is it 2ohm stable?

I believe an output transistor(s) let go. The service tech said everything else was in good shape and to spec.

I had one of these before jumping to the m1.5t.

Buy this amp people! At this price, it's a steal. I have no need for it or I would snatch it up.
    No excuses!

Sending check this afternoon. Buying another amp was no-where near the top of my list of audio buys, but sometimes you just have to go with your gut. . .and my gut wanted to feast on the crushing magnetic field power of late 80's Bob Carver fame.

This is starting to become a very costly habit. I think I've responded with "I'm interested" as much on the FM as I have to the recent Karmas. . . never a good sign.

My sig keeps growing. Need to take a look at the ever mounting "inventory" this weekend and possibly unload some stuff. Look for an FS offering from me in the near future.

Just FYI, I received the Carver at my office today. It was super-fast shipping from Wes, and packed to withstand any foreseeable incident. Thanks so much!

+1 going to shack for this one. Always a pleasure to buy from the FM, starting to get real tired of the eBay hassle.

Let us know how you like it. That was a great deal. I've seen them go in the high $300s on CL, less on ebay but not close to this FM deal.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO

Well, if it perform as well as I think it will, you won't be seeing this one on CL, ebay, or Audiogon anytime soon :)

Like I said to ISig earlier, I don't see how Bob got so much power in this little box. It's less than half the size/weight of my B&K amp, and almost twice the power.

Theres an M1.0t that's on Ebay right now at over $400! Most go between $200 and $350 depending on location, condition, etc. Makes me glad I have one! I will be getting a 2nd one as soon as I buy the SDA's. I want to get the speakers out of the way first. Should have my C-1 in by hopefully Friday, too.

AndyWis...good to see another fellow Texan in the crowd. I'm just north of you around Denton.

I see a lot of audio stuff on ebay listed from Denton. Are you the seller?

Anyway, there are a few North Texans on the forum, some famous ones like Russman, even. Maybe we can get together sometime for a local audio show and tell. . . and drink.

I plan on hanging onto this bad boy for a while, too. Need a preamp now, my B&K doesn't have all the features I'm looking for, the Nad I got off ebay was broken, and the cheapo Kenwood I have looks like hell.

I thought I remember seeing where Russman was from around here. I think one of the moderators is from NE Arkansas where I grew up...or maybe that's another forum! lol

I think there are a few sellers from Denton. Mine doesn't actually list exact location. I sell things from time to time though. I buy something, use it for awhile, move it on and go to something else. Other things, friends buy from me or I give them away. I'm an electronics rep for home and car stuff so I sometimes have a ton of crap I have to unload!
