NAD 7600 PE w/remote $400.00 plus shipping.

Awesome receiver. Period. This receiver was built using the top of the line tuner, amp, and pre-amp offered by NAD at the time and was the top of the line receiver offered. I would venture to say this is one of the best and most powerful receivers one can buy at this price. Built in the 80's.

Gobs of power. Has been pushing my SDA-SRS's with no problem. Conservatively rated at 150 wpc @ 8 ohms, certainly over 200 wpc at 4 ohms. 600 wpc of dynamic burst power at 4 ohms. Will push any load. This baby can be run bridged mono for 400 wpc. Combined with another 2600 PE amp, this would make a sweet bi-amped setup, with more power than you'll ever need. Tons of headroom. Check out the bridged power numbers! And, power is very clean at 0.03% THD @ 8 ohms. Read the spec sheet as the numbers are very impressive. http://207.228.230.231/info/NAD_7600.pdf Also, check out the recent sale of an NAD 2200 PE with info and link to specs on the power. The power section of the 7600 contains a 2200A, which adds 50 wpc more than the 2200, but they are built about the same. http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43786

I have loved this piece and hope it will stay in the family. It has the original remote which has a nice heavy feel compared to the cheaper, lightweight remotes with current NAD pieces. Has a few scratches to the top edge from other equipment resting on top and a light scratch to the back. These don't come up often and price is in line with value. If you aren't 100% satisfied with value for the dollar on this piece, I will take it back less shipping! If you are looking for a second system all-in-one for two channel, this won't disappoint.

Selling only to make room for my new aquistions. Pictures to follow shortly.

Russ, let me get to work on the photos. The innerds are shown on the GUTS thread near the last page or so. Shipping shouldn't be bad at all going from Charleston to GA. No box or manual, but I am the second owner. I have seen these sell between $4-500 on Ebay when they appear, which isn't very often.

Photos are a very good indication of condition. I have made no attempts to touch up scratches, so it will definitely benefit, but isn't bad as seen. Forgot to mention the phono stage.

This may be a dumb question but what is that piece on the rear of the receiver that has wires going into it?

Here's is a snippet of the review on this ****...

The following quotes are from an article in Stereo Review: "…deliver 150 watts per channel continuously into 8-ohm loads from 20 to 20,000 Hz with no more than 0.03 total harmonic distortion…NAD's claim to the power champion ship is based on its ability to deliver dynamic (20-ms) outputs of 400, 600 and 800 watts into loads of 8, 4 and 2 ohms" "Its tuner specifications indicate that the Model 7600 is a top-quality product, with at least one superlative rating, an image rejection exceeding 120 dB…The tuning is always precise and the tuned frequency is always visible on the large numeric dsiplay." "Not surprisingly, the sound quality from the NAD7600 was as good as we have heard from any tuner, amplifier or receiver [seller's note: the 7600 compares very favorably with separate components which usually perform better than most receivers]." "We were not tempted to test its almost limitless power reserves, out of consideration for our speakers and ears, but there was no doubt that in terms of power this receiver is exactly what NAD claims it to be!".
