I found this in Tucson. Don't know if it is sold or not. If this is decent I'll pick it up and figure out somethign to do with it.

The 1200 series was where it was at Wes. Dual 1219, and especially the 1229Q. I am not too sure about a 10xx series. Let me see if I can look it up. Be right back. Okay, 1999 Orion Blue Book lists it as being manufactured between 1968 and 1971, MSRP of $140. If it was mint in 1999, Orion suggested paying $30 for it. Average shape gets $16. I'd pass on that pup.
The 1229 and 1229Q were 1972-1974 manufacture, MSRP of $250 and $260 respectively. -
Thanks, George. I know Dual has been mentioned quite a bit for as one to look for in a vintage TT. The guy also had a 12xx in another add with this one. The 12xx is gone, it appears.
I thought for $60, it might be in the neighborhood.

Pass. I just tossed a 1009 and generally pass on the hollow, spring loaded antiques. I have found nothing special in that series as alluded to by George.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I picked up a 1228 awhile back at Thrift for like 8 dollars. Good solid table for 8 dollars. Currently using a CS 5000 I got a good deal on. I agree with GG that for the money and quality, a 12XX would be a good starter, if it comes with a good cartridge and needle.
You just need a 600 buck Nitty Gritty to clean em.>
