Anybody heard of Verit speakers

I saw an old pair of Verit speakers at a Thrift store today. Full size 3- way with the woofer surrounds shot but noticed they had a nice set of Peerless tweeters in them. Just wondering if they would be worth paying the 15.00 for the pair , if nothing else for the tweeters. Any thoughts? Thank you for the comfort of your advises.

did you look at the cabinets, seem solid??, real wood veneer, speaker terminals, power handling, weight, other drivers. All these are important when sizing up vintage/unknown designs.

were they energy speakers? energy has a veritas line, not verit, but maybe some of the name, or badges were not complete. Just a thought.
