alex, if you go through past auctions on ebay you might get a better feel for what the market is. Having said that, gear bought and sold here on the flea mkt is usually sold for less than the going ebay rate, more along the hook-a-brotha-up rates.....

Good luck, you don't happen to have a NAD preamp do you???

Troy is looking to find me a NAD pre. So if you come across one, or any brand for that matter, just email me, don't worry about Troy.

    Cheers,

EFF that man. Screw Russ. There should be a limit to how many good deals and freebies a dude should be allowed to have. Only thing that **** needs is a new helmet.

alex, Russ has no idea at all.

    VERY BASICALLY

The preamp acts as an intermediate between your source(s) (CD,phono or tape deck etc)providing volume control and source selection, and the amp. The amp then amplifies the signal and passes it to the speakers.

Russ is just pissed because he agreed to swap a Fisher Studio Standard integrated with the worlds coolest V/U's for a Yammie preamp.

And everyone knows that chicks dig V/U meters.

A preamplifier adjusts the volume of an audio signal and performs switching functions between attached input devices and an amplifier or group of amplifiers.
An amplifier accepts a low-level signal (from the preamp) and recreates the signal with more power to drive speakers and create sound.

Troy is our resident 'tard', you'll get used to him. And yes, chics do dig V/U meters, but they tend to not dig big fat cloven head, helmet wearing mofos....So Troy, you are ****-out-of-luck, the V/U's aint gonna help your image....

    Cheers,
    Russ

Russ, how's those Infinity speaker stands working out these days anyway?

phuz, other than the OBVIOUS problem of me being a raging heterosexual......there are some logistical problems with Russ procreating with anyone, not the least of which is that the resemblance to the Hunchback of Notre Dame is just too striking
