Marine speakers

I have been thinking about upgrading the speaker system in my 20' ski boat that I bought last year. I have 4 factory 6.5" speakers right now, two in the front, and two in the back bench seat. both sets face each other. I was thinking about using the mmc6500 marine, or mmc650 in the front, and maybe the same in the back. Was also wanting to put a couple of 8" mm2084 in the back in the center of the 6.5" speakers. Was going to put the amps in to power all these.
My first choice would be the mmc6500's for both the front and back but do you think it's a bit over kill. Or could I get the sound I'm looking for with the 6500's in the front and a couple of 2084's in the back. The back speakers set about calf level facing foward in the bench seat, The front speakers are under the consoles for the driver and passenger facing to the back. I am wanting a good balance, without one overpowering the other.
So you know, I am going to install a wake tower with 4 polk 675 can speakers mounted on the tower for the skiers or wakeboarders behind the boat.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Billy
