Music question with Myspace and it's player

I have a problem with the player on Myspace where when you're on a band's site and a song is playing through that built in player, if the player box goes off of the screen (I page down to read stuff or whatever) the music stops. If I scroll back up, it plays fine. Also, if I leave it on the page, but then switch to another program (Word, for example), it stops playing.

What the hell would make a player be such an attention **** that it won't even play unless you're staring at the **** thing? (clearly, not pleased)

Any ideas please?

EDIT: Using Firefox.......and the problem doesn't seem to work with IE (damnit).........

Now that I've read your thread...

Hmm, I have no idea....err, I haven't a clue! Sorry. Hope you figure it out. Myspace isn't a bad source for playing music sometimes.

i'd bet the problem lies with Firefox. I tried Firefox with MySpace and there are some compatability issues. I recently got IE 7, and I like it much better than Firefox and no problems.

(I don't use the MySpace player anymore, I use an audio host site (ripway.com) on my page, with no problems whatsoever.

I use Firefox all the time, and I have never had any MySpace related issues.

Are you running an old version of Firefox perhaps?

yeah if it's F.F. 1.0, you need to upgrade to 1.5. If that doesn't work, then just bypass the MySpace player altogether, and use your own mp3's through ripway.
