Whats the difference in performance if I have my system at 2 ohms vs 4 ty bruce.

Are you talking car audio? If so we have some forums down the page a bit where you can get a bit more help.
Basically, a 2ohm system calls for more current (amperage) to flow through it. So your amplifier needs to be able to meet this demand, if it can't it heats up and can be damaged along with the speakers.
