I presently have a sonyxm4060gtx amp 60 watts rms @4 ohms, front speakersare mmc6500,rears are mmc690. I own a chevy express 2000 van. I want to add one 10 inch sub and replace my amp with one that will run the whole system.I play mostly rocknroll/heavy metal like tight clean bass not thundering blow my rear windows out type.Any suggestions on a very good amp and sub.I am willing to spend about 800-1000 dollars. tyvm.Bruce.

The JBL is going to be built much better and make more power. Sony amps are entry level at best.

The beauty of the 6 channel is its one amp for the whole system. Much cleaner install, much easier install and cheaper to boot!
