Stumbled on to this today and gave it a try and it worked!

My IE now downloads pages a little faster. Mind you its not blinding fast but there is a noticeable increase.

Warning: this requires messing with the registry and you can seriously screw up your computer if you do something wrong so try it at your own risk!!

To make IE download faster :

    - go to www.getfirefox.com
    - install
    - never open IE again

    :D
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Yep! Using IE is like holding up a sign on the great information highway saying "Please load spyware onto my computer!"

Well, in 1 year of using Firefox, I had my shortcuts mysteriously deleted 3 times, my home page changed at least once a week and finally it decided to wipe out my entire profile!

I went back to IE and have never had a problem since.

I use Firefox on a regular basis, but IE when visiting a M$ targeted site. I also follow one rule regarding M$ software...never install it until there is at least one service pack!
