RM 3000 Sub/satelitte system

I've read threads on this subject, but I need a bit more clarity.

I recently bought a Yamaha RX-V2500 receiver. I current own Polk RM3000 sub satelite system. The sub is a passive sub with two sets of L/R in connectors (one set for each driver). There are no L/R outs. Which is the best way to connect them:

a: Receiver L/R out to sub - sub L/R to satelites ( in series).

b: both connected on channel A in parallel (current connection senario).

c: Satelites on Channel A, Sub on Channel B.

Will the way I currently have them connected damage the speakers or receiver? Why

Should the speakers be set to large or small, and which ones? Are Channel A and B on the same channel?

What is the impedance of these speakers?

Also my receiver is a 7.1 channel with 130 w/channel.

Thank you for your advice. I'm somewhat a newbie and don't want to damage anything.
