Hi everybody, quick question. Does anybody know anything about blue jeans cables and if they are woth getting? I have audioquest cables right now but I am redoing my theatre room and need longer cables. I saw bluejeans cables for a good price and just wanted to know if it would be worth buying them.

They seem like nice cables for the money, (they use Belden cable a lot for the starting point) but I don't think they compare with Audioquest cables well.

All of my IC's are BJC's! I love the nice clean look, I love how they fit snugly without having to go to war with them to get them on & off & most especially I love the price!

Go for it & Welcome to Club Polk!

I'm using them for component and HDMI runs to my projector. I agree with cfrizz regarding their on/off qualities. They "snap" on with a nice solid fit, without a lot of effort.

I've never tried them for audio though, so can't comment there.

Acoustic Research Pro Series are also decent low cost cables - not positive, but 12 ft might be the max on those though.

I have all Blue Jeans i/c's,component,and digital coax in out HT rig...My take is;they are VERY good cables for the money, and "good enough" for a HT set-up...the cables are not too stiff, use good connectors, and are offered in several different colors,if that may be of any importance.

Have all Audioquest i/c's in our 2-channel rig...Will the two brands compare? Better
Audioquest cables will shine over BJC...

That's all I'm saying... Nice but can't compare with some nice Audioguest cables.

For HT use, they are adequate and reasonably priced.

BJ's are great cables; all you will ever need. Same stuff that most studios use. Many manufacturers use the same/similar base (Belden), add some fancy-schmancy outer jackets, then jack up the price 500% (and beyond). Here is some good reading:

    http://www.audioholics.com/techtips/audioprinciples/interconnects/top10cablesnakeoil.php

BJC offers a money-back guarantee, so worst case, you send them back. They don't look as neat as AudioQuest, and their marketing isn't nearly as good, but they represent an infinitely better value.
