Don't worry, they're just pluckin' around. -
Apologies Kumadam.
Guys, lets try not to be arrogant Americans. It makes us all look bad. Turks are a very proud, good people. If you have a Turk for a friend, you have a friend for life.
They are very sensitive about respect for their culture and country (as we are), and I understand completey; just as we wouldn't like a foreigner coming on here making "American" jokes...right? I lived in Turkey..(which, by the way, is the way we incorrectly say it...it's actually Tur-kee-ya in Turkish) and these are wonderful people. I treasure the memories I had in my time there. These are hard working, friendly people that would give you the shirt off their back---very much like Americans; which probably explains our good relationship with them.
Again, sorry Kumadam...Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -

Good friend of mine married a turkish girl. I was his best man on their wedding in Ankara but unfortunately didn't have time to see Istanbul. Next time. Now they are back in Finland but I met many Turks here in DFW that I still keep in touch. Very nice and friendly people! Welcome to the forum!

I have many fond memories of my port visits to Izmir and Antalya Turkey in 1989 and 1991 courtesy of the US Navy. I also have fond memories of drinking "Raki" and experiencing why it is referred to as "Tigers Milk" !!

since the Polks have been made in china I notice the satisfaction period between listening sessions seems to be decreasing. After 30 min. you just have to have some more.
