XBOX games compatible to be played on 360?

My son got a couple games for his birthday: Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and Need for Speed 2 for the original XBOX, are these compatible with 360? they are still sealed, so I don't want to try em if I can exchange em to a true 360 game.

If they are playable, how are the graphics quality?

Thanks, guys!
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Splinter Cell is on the list, not so sure if NFS Underground 2 is on there, not sure if that was what you were refering to. Don't have a 360, can't say how they will look.

I think the 360 does a great job upscaling original Xbox to 720p and applying AA to the titles. Just remember that the texture res and poly count etc will be the same but it does a great job cleaning them up.

Thanks for the info, guys. Need for Speed is not on the list, which means it won't play on 360, right?

Yet, they say that as time goes on more and more titles will be added.

Right, however MS claims to be working on improving the list of backwards compatible titles.

Yes. Every Xbox game that you can play on the 360 is being emulated via software.
