alright so I just got a replcement mid for my SDA and i'm not sure if the new speaker is in phase. The wire coloring is non standard (a blue and a white wire) and there is no demarcation on the old speaker as to what end was positive and what was negative other than a red dab of paint on the magnet (which i've assumed was positive). Anyone know if the red dot is a demarcation of positive, or which of the two wires (blue and white) is positive? Also, i've never been able to identify which particular SDAs these are. they have two tweeters spaced horiozontally next to each other on the top, then two rows of two woofers below that. any ideas?

thanks,
P

Maybe the wiring and the Tweeter had different sizes (1 small / 1 large) so this may help.

all i really need to do is identify either on the old speaker which terminal is positive and which is negative or to identify the blue or white wire for that particular speaker as positive or negative

The red dot usually means positive at least that's my thinking. Other then that one wire must have a larger connector then the other, so match this to the speaker. Or you could also pull the other Tweeter / speaker to double check.

BTW since some xcross overs change phase some drivers in a speaker may not be all the same phase, so just not 100% about that speaker since I don't own one sorry.

SDA speakers are wired as follows:
    Black +
    Blue +
    White -
    Green -

The red dot on the driver is +. The connectors are the same size on all SDA drivers. Your speakers are SDA 1A's.
