Rotel delay

Hey guys and gals,
I have noticed today that I have a pretty severe delay when watching tv/sat and running them thru my Rotel pre. I really noticed this watching a San Fran Cisco car chase and you could hear the car hit the pavement well before you could see the car hit the ground. Maybe a 1/2 a second. Do I make up for this delay in my speaker setup? I can't find any other setup options that might address this. If I do use my speaker delay could you walk me through it like a 4 year old. My eyes kinda glaze over on stuff like that.
I'm running f/o from the dish to the rotel and dvi from the dish to the tv if that helps any.
thanks....kevin:)

Does the 1066 have the lip sync option in the menu? I know my 1068 has it. That may fix the problem.

I don't think so but I will recheck. It's not on the OSD. Time to dig out the manual.

I've seen it on my set-up. It has never done it with a DVD, so I know it's Comcast and it's only a very small percentage of the time.

So your saying to fix the delay on the satelite side? Good idea. I will try it. And yes it only happens with satelite and not DVD.The Flea rig

I don't know how you would go about fixing it on the source side. I just knew that I have my system wired the same whether it's cable or dvd. (video straight to the plasma; audio straight to the preamp-amp-speakers)
Therefore, if I got delays with one and not the other, then my system wiring is the constant so it can't be me.
