Placement Of Other Speakers Near Sda/srs

I am trying to place a pair of Def Tech BP 2000's very close to the SDA/SRS as I need my room to be all-in-one for HT/stereo. The DT's are about 3/4 the height of the SDA's. I know that one needs to allow space away from side walls, but I didn't know if having a speaker right next to the SDA's would affect the sound/be the same principle. If I had to choose one, would placing the towers on the inside or outside of the SDA's be most preferable? Are both scenarios going to degrade the performance?

Yes, thanks, I was just trying to save time since moving them around is a pain, but I am preaching to the choir. I just didn't know if it there were any obvious things such as interfering with the SDA effect.

There's too many variables. One absolute, keep them on the same plane.

I have a pair of sansui sp3500's sitting atop my polk sda 2.3's powered by a tube amp. My sda's are powered with an adcom gfa 555. I have the sui's running at a lower volume than the 2.3's and this set up sounds incredible. Kinda imposing looking having speakers almost reach the ceiling but you can't argue with the sound. I actually didn't think this combination would work but it doesn't take away from the sda effect at all.

It's not rocket science....add another speaker, any speaker, on top on another...and you increase the soundfield. If it sounds good, you should start working as a greeter at Walmart.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

How did you know that's what I do for work? Hey sometimes stacking speakers doesn't work at all as I'm sure you must've tried a few combos yourself that didn't work. I know I have. This one sounds silly I know and I didn't expect to have the sui's on top of the sda's permanently but I'm afraid they are. I'm not the only one that thinks that it's the cat's pajamas either. All my walmart greeter friends are in awe. Give stacking on some sda's a shot. What you got to lose?
