    :(

I apologize Ohskigod. I have been gone for a week and did not want to post before I left since I would not of been able to respond.

Are you sure you do not need an upgrade to the 12.1 you just purchased?

    :D

    Shameless bump...

Making it $100 even for this 12.2 plus sub before I place it on EBAY. Please be sure to tell me if I am charging too high for Polkies. Again, I am just trying to recoup what I got invested.

    Send me a PM.

I've been watching them on Ebay and the last few 12.2s have gone for $82, $77, $88, and 2 for $152. Even $66 for a 12.1. Not including shipping.

Great! Then $100 total (includes shipping) is about right then since the shipping charges to me was $21.42.

Also...please only continental US Polkies please. I cannot afford the hassle or cost to send it any further.

    Thanks for the help Polkitup.

I don't know the Thiele/Small parameters and it is doubtful you'll find them as I'm sure SVS considers this info proprietary. I would stick as close as possible to the original design as possible which is roughly 3.75-4.25ft3 net ported tuned to 20hz.

Ok...finally got around to getting up an add to place these on Ebay. Since I cannot find any links to anyone else selling these, and this is my first time to post an add on Ebay, I need your help. Besides the pictures of the items, what else do I need to say about the items inorder to let the potential buyer know all about them?

    Here are the pictures:

Any help you guys can give on what to post on the for sale area to move these would be very welcome.

Oh, and refer to it as a "driver" and not a "speaker"
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

Nicely done. Statman seems to be collecting these... he usually low-bids all Polk gear to remove the BINs. Not sure what his deal is...anyway, 75 plus shipping even at this point isn't too bad!

I especially liked this part - " I was almost tempted to not replace this driver just because of the nice graphics SVS had placed on the driver itself." And, the "Rocks" part.

Wow! I was impressed how fast that happened. Now all I have to do is wait out the 10 days.

I might get to like this Ebay stuff. Pretty scared my first time at this. I really do appreciate everyone giving me tips.

Dave, it would be nice to be able to get my money back for the upgrade, but I will be happy with anything beyond this point.

On Ebay.. there is NO reason to post a 10 day auction.. 5 or 7 days is plenty... i think you get charged some kind of fee for a 10 day auction... i could be wrong on that. but I think i remember reading that somewhere on Epay. :(

I found that out a wittle bit too late, DB. Well this is my first time so I am learning as I go. I had also paid to have a RESERVE placed on the item. Since the first bid was way past that reserve, that was a bit of a waste too. I think I will get that money back.

All in all I have been pleased with how relatively easy it has gone so far and how helpful everyone on this forum has been in getting me setup on Ebay. Also it appears that I will indeed recoup my costs for the upgrade with no problem.

I wouldn't have minded if a Polkie would of snatched it up and I would of lost a bit of my upgrade money. However by not snatching it up, I learned something new. Now what to sell next to start clearing out the rooms.

    :)

you have to call tom v. from svs or email him. they will not give out their t/s parameters to anyone. i needed the values to create my sub box for my truck and they wouldn't hook me up. but they did run some figures for me in the software i'd have used, so they did the work for me. and by the way, a single 12.2 sub being fed 500w in my sealed enclosure for my chevy silverado hits deeeeep and is 'musical' too.

don't ever doubt the svs product.

...now, just gotta find a way to install the 12.3 instead...

Just wanted to give an update.

Sell went very well on Ebay. Price sold for was plenty to cover all expenses for the upgrade. Buyer was very cordial and speaker was sent via UPS. Now all I have to do is cross my fingers and hope that it gets there in one piece.

Thanks goes out to everyone that helped me post my first sell on Ebay. I really do appreciate everyone's patience and assistance.
