I'm driving along a familiar street around 8:30 p.m. on a Friday night.

Weaving through cars turning without signaling, I encounter the beast.

The make and model I care not, only that the commander is reversing out of a parking spot towards me at 0.1 m.p.h.

30 seconds later, my knee jerk reaction is for my hand to mate with my horn and it promptly does.

A few honks later I notice the little blue handicapped sign on the drivers license plate...

Whatever happened to the handicapped wanting to be treated like everyone else? ;)

So, if they're too handicapped to drive correctly, then they shouldn't be on the road. Though, you weren't using your signal....shame on you:p

And please don't turn my statement into a bash, because it's not intended to be, not one iota,

You were in the right to lay on the horn........the person reversing out of anywhere does not have the 'right of way' ...............honk on....

I hate old drivers, and would ticket their sorry butts all day long when I was beatin' it.

They are a danger to the road. I think after you hit a certain age, say 65, you need to take a test yearly to ensure you can keep up with the traffic. IF not, then your license is pulled.

Something funny about DL's in AZ..........regardless of your age, you're given a license that your'e not required to renew until you're 65. Mine had an expiration date of 2038.......:D

I'd rather be on the road with old people driving real slow than having them drive real fast

my grandpa, God bless his soul, was blind in one eye, deaf and prone to seizures and they still issued him an 8 year license at 92. We ended up having to take his keys. I tell you, there is not much harder than taking full independence away from a senior.

You're right Matthew, cause when that time comes everyone has to acknowledge & accept that their loved one is really getting old. It's painful on all sides.:(

I had to laugh when I read the first post...

Just because I am not shy with the horn. Anytime someone does a stupid move, even if they are 4 cars ahead of me and I see it - Ill let them know I think they suck.

Yeah, my grandmaw before I got my license would pick me up from school and I got to the point where I would drive myself home because I was scared to ride with her... very scary...
