Have looked all over for the answer, could not find it. I have a Denon AVR-5805MK2 reciever. 170 watts by 10 channels. The front are biamped. 340 watts to my rti 12's. They sound great, but would i be better off getting a seprate amp?

No. Wait, yes. No, well it depends. Your pushing 340wpc already. How much more do you think you need? Or is it you think you've got enough power, it's just that the power isn't clean enough?

    Subjective I think.

I also think that particular Denon is enough for those speakers. Unless you have money to burn. That Denon must've cost a fortune, niceAVr.

I picked it because i could biamp front two and power two centers, and four rti 8's. Thanks for the info.
