any suggestions on the best SQL sub for between $100 and $200. im looking for very high sensitivity rather than higher power handeling because i dont want to spend much on my amp either. bacisally i want to be louder than 2 type s and sound clearer. thankyou

15" Type R wants 750 watts rms. 10" Type X wants 1000 watts rms. If you don't want to spend huge $$ for your sub amp, those speakers are probably not for you.
You probably haven't seen too many replies to your posts on the Polk forum regarding other brands of sub- try a generic car audio forum.
The Infinity subs are probably a lot cheaper and would do with less amplifier power.
The Polk Momo and db subs are worth considering- they sound really good and are probably more efficient than those from Alpine you mentioned. I just installed a Momo 2124 DVC and it did really nicely off of a clean 400 watts rms.
Bang for buck wise,

this sub box with 2 12" woofers will get plenty loud. Circuit City has some good prices on them too. If you put them on a decent amp in the 700 watt range (at 2 ohms) they'll probably outperform two Alpine Type S woofers for volume (and sound pretty clear, too).
There are lots of other choices out there that would do the job too. Surf some forums and try the search features. Good luck.
