Surround Back Speakers

I have a 6 speaker Polk audio surround sound system. 2 front, 1 center, 2 back and subwoofer. I put my 2 back speakers 6 feet off the floor. I would like to get more volume out of these speakers. How do I go about this? I have a Yamaha HTR 5940 receiver. How do I increase the volume of these speakers without increasing the volume of the other 3? This is my first ever Home Theatre set-up.

Thanks,

Somewhere in your receiver setup there will be options for setting the volume for LF, RF, C, SW and Surrounds. (or something similar)

Thanks for the help. I'll try again. My son-in-law will give it a go.

Success. I just have to tweak it a little bit. Different channels have different sound. The best example is the nature channel ( audio only ). Great example of surround sound.

    Thanks again,
