I've been out of car stereo way too long. The last speakers I owned were the top of the line DB series Polks. They were awesome. Does Polk make a similar sounding series today? I live in super hot summer conditions, so I need a speaker that can stand the elements and sound good. The Polks rocked.

well, the DB series now is Polks low end line. They now have the MOMO line and the SR line is their new flagship model. All are excellent for their price point. I have DB speakers in my dads truck, I had momo speakers in my truck, and i have SRs in my g/f's car. None of these sets have left me unimpressed

The Signature Reference line is, dollar for dollar, the best speakers on the market.

I wouldnt give mine up for anything.

Ive had quite a big of luck in SQ competitions with them and thats not because of my genius tuning abilities, trust me on that! ;)
