Ok I purchased a HK amp and a surroundbar about a week and a half ago. Today I purchased a Athena AS-P6000.

I hooked it up to my amp just using a single subwoofer connection.

The instructions told me to hook it up using the left and right speaker inputs from the amp to the sub.

Have I done it wrong.

Thanks for the help

    Welcome to Club Polk.

If it sounds good to you, then you've done right.

I would have hooked it up the same way you did. Surroundbar-Receiver (all "speakers" set to small), with an RCA cable going from your AVR's subwoofer out to the subwoofer itself.
