If you could own ANY piece of vintage stereo, BRAND NEW, what would it be?
Mine: My AR9Lsi tower speakers from the 80's. They were gorgeous, they were huge, they were heavy (154lbs each) they were real walnut veneer, they sounded like heaven on earth.

Nakamichi Dragon?
I'm sure I'd change my mind if I actually knew anything, but I'd like a Dragon.George Grand wrote: »

I don't know.. maybe the full on set of SRT's with Matts sig on em.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert  -
Of course I'd prefer a 356B, or a 956-003, perhaps a '63 904 Carrera GTS - realistically, I'd settle for a 914/6.
Cheers,
Russ

Not really into ultra vintage gear.........but I remember back in the mid 80's (vintage I guess) I lusted after a pair of KEF 107/2's. It was the Polks SRS's and the KEF 107/2's that I wanted so babdly at the time but couldn't afford. I also remember listening to an original pair of Carver Amazings. Any of the above I guess.
Also one of my middle school teachers (late 70's) had a pair of Marantz tube mono's can't remember the model but I thought those were hella-cool.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -
