sr124dvc Sealed/Ported?

I looked throught the manual for this sub and it only give recommend Vol. for a sealed enclosure, is that because only seald enclosures are recommended? or if there is a ported enclosure recommendation, does anyone know the specs? as in Vol. and freq. of port?
