Software installs on your computer(s) and you can browse & play all your mp3's, wma's (and maybe other formats?)... will also display photos on your TV via svideo & composite hook ups. My brother gave it to me awhile back & I never found a home for it in my system- it's never even been taken out of the plastic.

Has both wireless and wired ethernet options.

$40, shipped.

Original manual, software, remote, batteries, and packaging (except for the box...) Not sure how I lost the box, but I have one that it fits snugly in and I've got the foam inserts.

    So are you saying I could stream audio from my PC in another room to my TV and receiver in the living room with this?

    Yep, that's exactly what it does. You put software on the PC and set up "shared" directories. The HP then goes and finds the PC's with these folders, gets a list of the files, then you can select a file & play it... also does playlists/ slideshows, etc.

    I have no idea about the sound quality since it _really_ is still sealed in the plastic. I never got around to organizing my mp3's, then my vinyl collection overtook what I had on the computer, so it's been sitting around in storage.
