Running two subs

Can any of you audiophiles give me some negatives about running two subs that aren't paired exactly?
Both are relying on the reciever to cut over the LFE at 90 hz. so that shouldn't be a problem. I guess what I'm asking; is there something that I'm overlooking here other than having TOO much bass to compliment my NSM
M-75 front mains.

When you say not paired exactly, do you mean they are not identical models, or they will not be placed symmetrically in the room?
If the former, this is not recommended, as different subwoofers have different frequency responses, different tuning frequencies. At some frequencies the subs will reinforce each other. At others they will cancel each other out creating a very uneven response.
If the latter, yes assymetrical placement of two identical subs can help to smooth out the respones throughout the room. Adjust them properly so that they are in balance with the rest of the system.-Eric
