Got there promptly at 9 this morning and rummaged out 5 minutes later with 2 rubber mallets, 2 cd's and a mint as can be Sanyo single cd player from The Stone Age. Large and heavy with motorized front door that works flawlessly, as well as the rest of the machine. It is model DAD 8. I used it with an old pair of Sennheisers, and a normally harsh sounding song, "Lights" from the Best of Journey, which is the only good song. It sounded harsh, so initial field tests indicate it is an accurate reproducer of the original signal. It listed for $900 from 1984-1989.

Love my friends at Temple Har Zion.

That is all.

Cool find George! Some of those old CD players and VHS players were built like brick **** houses. Probably 8 bit, if you have an external DAC, mate it up it see how it sounds. Flea Market and Garage sales are always fun places to look for stuff. I can't wait, the North American Martyrs Catholic church is having a big flea market next Saturday. That's where I'll be at 8:00 AM.

2 rubber mallets for a dollar. One small one and one for industrial type applications.

This wasn't a bad week for vintage silver. Along with that Stone Age cd player (Which might be a record here, it was manufactured April 1983. Older? Anybody?) this week I picked up a Nakamichi BX-2 cassette deck, and a Pioneer CT-F700 cassette deck. Both working both gorgeous. Also two vintage Pioneer turntables, PL-300 and PL-530, both in great shape.

I didn't find it recently but still have my Phase Linear 9500 which is the first US branded cdp on the market, also in 1983. That's a neat find George.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
