What im not sure about is how the speaker fits on teh stand, i want to put bookshelves on them that sit on top of a desk, just for added height.
But would my speaker sit on top of those spikes? im not sure if a bookshelf would work in this situation. Any help?Terps Swimming!

The speaker stand is 9 and 1/2 inches wide. The spikes, point to point, are 8 and 1/2 inch wide. So, if your speaker is greater than 8 and 1/2 inch wide, it will sit on top of the spikes.
The depth of the speaker stand is also 9 and 1/2 inches. And the distance between the side spikes, point to point, is also 8 and 1/2 inches. So, if your speaker depth is greater than 8 and 1/2 inch, it will sit on top of the spikes. If your speaker is less than 8 and 1/4 inches deep, it will sit between the spikes.
The reason for the spike is to stablize the speaker. Otherwise, it may move because of vibration. If you put your bookshelf speakers on the stands, you'll also have some handy storage space under each speaker.
Hope all of the above helps. -
These would be perfect but my bookshelves (onix x-ls) are just not wide enough to make it work. Thanks for the details but im going to have to decline.
